Dose anybody know where to get 86-90 octane fuel that is not pump fuel? , Drum fuel?

Leaded or Unleaded, no more than 90 Octane Rm2 method?

P.S. Ted, What is your opinion on recommended octane for the kt 100 at our altitude or lower altitudes? Have you experienced an un-even burn/flash pattern when using different octane fuels?

For fun- Have you ever indexed spark plugs and seen a difference in flash residue or performance for that matter?

Another good source for fuel tips is three posts down by Tom Krause.

Kt 100's are not like your computer controlled cars that you drive, more like a baby, what you feed it and how much you feed it can make for a different OUTCOME.

Pretty much all pump gas will have ethanol added from here on out. Phillips will only sell one type of unleaded and the other companies are sure to follow. Ethanol is here to stay at the pump and race fuel will be the only other option. I just bought 110 Trick at Ero on 1rst street. They have stopped selling out of the 50gl. can and are pumping out of out of a pump on the north side of the building.

Here at PKRA we use ms 98 by VP. At 11 cc's the Yamaha is not a high compression motor. MS 98 is just fine. Pump fuel will run fine also, but oxygenated fuel may not tech. VP 110 is octane over kill for a yammy.

It will slow you down. Yamahas don't have a problem with octane. What gets them is a lubrication falure, usualy near the exzaust port on the piston and ring ("sticking"). 101 octane is going to slow you down, the rules won't allow more timing or more compression which is needed to use more octane.

Where in town besides ERO on 1rst street can we buy racing gas that meets our needs? I believe you cannot get non-oxygenated gas at retail stations any more.

Trick 110 at Yearwood Speed and Custom on Eubank. Pretty pricey though, probably $60 for 5 gallons.
